I've seen Korn (mid-1990s), The Crystal Method, Elton John, Marilyn Manson (twice in the 90s), Metallica, and there are some others in there.
Some concerts suck, the music is terrible, the people there are worse, but sometimes it's great. Like Marilyn Manson put on a great show both times I saw it. Elton John was definitely the best I've seen.
Usually pretty awesome, but like origin said, some can suck for a number of reasons.
I've seen Muse, HIM and Status Quo as far as I can remember, maybe more, but I have forgotten by now.
Muse and HIM were even better than the studio albums, Status Quo was good, but they tend to make a few mistakes here and there.
You also get to see the kind of people who actually like these bands, for example when seeing Muse it was mostly students who were 18/19+ and at HIM there were mostly gothic young girls constantly screaming and a large number of people obsessed with the singer and dressed up to look exactly like him.

Marilyn Manson as well; not many people dressed up like Elton John though.
